New Look/Sorry Everyone!

So... I haven't blogged since April..... WOW! A lot has happened/changed since then.

Since I last blogged:
1. Mikel's Parents came to visit us. We had a great time together, went to the grand canyon, the zoo and just were plain lazy tourists. LOL!

Carol (Mom), Mikel, Me, Carl (Dad)

2. I survived Finals week made: 3 A's and one B.

3. Mikel and I went back to FL for a trip. We had a great time in FL! We went to the Heidi and Jerold's Wedding, my mom's graduation (So proud of her!), the beach and spent much time with friends and family. :)

4. Summer classes started for me about 3 weeks ago. I only have one class so hopefully I will keep up with my blogging better. My hubby also started one of his last 3 classes for his Associate of Science. :D

5. I got my placement for Student Teaching (aka my teaching internship). I will be working with 4th graders in a school 15min away from where we live.

6. Mikel, my husband, got switched to mid-shift aka night shift. He now goes into work between midnight and 2am each night/morning (Whatever you want to call it). Tonight he goes into work at 1am... Just 2hrs from now.

7. We adopted a Chinese Water Dragon. They get to be 3 feet long. Right now our lil guy "Toothless" is about 6 inches long.

Well, there's my update. I am sorry I never finished the A to Z challenge. Things got crazy and I got behind and then it got to the point of that there was no way to catch it back up.... :/

Trouble Posting and Other Random Stuff

I seem to have trouble actually getting on here to post.. I come up with ideas for the day.... I even open blogger, then something distracts me. So I have decided to force myself to blog in April. I joined the A to Z blogging challenge. It begins April first and every day I will be posting about a topic related to the letter of the day. This will be tough for me. But I know I can do it.... Below I posted the banner for the A to Z challenge. If you want to join click on it and it will bring you to the website. :)

So, I realized since we moved that we have too much stuff. I mean when we moved, I got rid of a trunk load of stuff that was extra and that we didn't need. But somehow, After moving from an apartment half the size of this house, I am having trouble coming up with places for things. I am very tempted at this moment to just tote all the boxes of stuff i don't know what to do with to the trashcan. I mean, if i don't know what to do with it, shouldn't i just get rid of it?

Another note, school this semester is seeming super easy. I am not used to this. I mean I have a 100 in all but one class and a 95% in that class. (So terrible right?). It just seems like its super easy. Maybe it’s just because I am almost finished. But I was told the last few classes would be the hardest... Well, whoever said that (I can’t remember right now) was wrong. These classes are super easy. My classmate and I are like wow! EASY semester.

Maybe it’s just God is giving me a needed break. It’s easier to focus on Him and my husband since school isn't driving me so crazy. I actually kept up with my devotions this past week and my husband has been doing a devotion with me each night before bed this week. This is something that I have longed for... But had not happened since we got married and then all of the sudden we started working through the book of Ephesians together. We have the couple’s devotional bible as well so we have been reading the short devotions having to do with the chapter we read in Ephesians. I am currently working my way through the book called "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian. The first chapter really hit me. It’s all about praying for his wife and how I need to change and let God change me. I can't change Mikel, only God can and He might not change him the way I want him to. But He knows what's best.

This Sunday, one of our pastors taught in Sunday school how Christians are actually priests. We were chosen by God to praise and worship Him. That is our sole purpose; To be priests unto God. I mean really think about that. Have you read in the Old Testament about what the role of the priests were? They were the ones who were supposed to be set apart unto God alone. They served Him in the temple. They were the ones who were allowed to enter into the temple and bring sacrifices to God. No others could. No others had that connection with God.

Well now, the temple is the body of Christ. We worship God or satan every day by what we do. We were called to be servants, priests, set apart for our God. I mean think about that, and the way you live your life. Are you living your life as worship and praise to the most high God? Are you bringing glory and honor to His name by the things you do? Are you spending time with Him? Does your life show that you are set apart from the world unto God alone? Does your thinking show that you are set apart? Does your life show that God is number one? Are the sacrifices to bring to God acceptable to Him?

A few verses to think on:

1 Peter 2:1-12

So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.
As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture:
“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone,
a cornerstone chosen and precious,
and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe,
“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,”
and
“A stone of stumbling,
and a rock of offense.”
They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
11 Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles it abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. 12 Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

Joshua 24:15
And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

If you are a Christian, you are also a priest. That is something that is special, that God has given to us. The honor to be a priest to Him. We are sinners, we do not do what God wants us to do. But he choose us to serve Him as priest and to bring sacrifices acceptable to Him. This is a privilege not to be taken lightly.

So I totally forgot to do today's Photo Challenge under the mistletoe.. ooops... But on another note, I have been having fun with my camera. I also have been working on a baby quilt for my future nephew, Colton. My sister-in-law Jen is due in February. All I have left of the quilt is to do the binding aka the siding. Here is a pic of the front and back and maybe some other pics of random things. But first, the latest picture of Colton. :)

Yesterday's Randomnes

So the other day I posted all about things that were supposed to happen yesterday. So now I am going to tell you what actually did happen yesterday. LOL!

I woke up at 5:30am when I didn't have to be up till 7am. I went to Heart Link, which ended up being great. I learned a great deal about the Air Force and if you are reading this and are an Air Force spouse and never been to a Heart Link meeting I strongly suggest going whether you have  been an AF spouse for 1 or 21 years. We had women in there who had been AF spouses for 18-25 years and they learned things they didn't know.  It was very cool, they fed us a great breakfast, lunch and provided lots of drinks and snacks for everyone. They also had all different people come and talk to us. The Commander and Chief came and talked to us and that was cool. When they did that I found out that the Chief's wife was sitting next to me (and she was a newlywed) we also found out that the other Commander's wife was in there with us too taking part in heart link and trying to learn more about the USAF. We also had people from all of the different agencies and clubs come. The taught us about protocol, how to tell different ranking based upon strips and more. It was great! I am thinking about joining the enlisted spouses club it sounds really awesome and like a great opportunity for me to meet more people.

After Heart Link, I came home payed the rent (a good thing to do, since it was due) and then waited for Mikel to come home. Once Mikel came home we went shopping and got all the groceries we need for the next few weeks. :) After that we came home put up the cold stuff and then went to a football game. (Did I do my science experiment? No! Did I call my grandparents? No! Did I post a pic on here? No!)
My monkey T-shirt

The AZ Cardinals vs. the Denver Broncos. That was my first football game ever.  The whole time I was having to ask what was going on because what it looked like to me was a bunch of guys running around in circles and trying to catch a ball lol! One cool thing is that I got to watch Tim Tebow play (the only football player I know by name). Which I thought was awesome since he was once a FL gator and he claims to be a Christian.  :) By the end of the 2nd quarter I was kind of bored. So I started going a lil crazy taking pictures.
LOL! I took 150 pics. So I added a few of them on here. Do not ask me what is happening in them because I have no idea! LOL!

By the time we got home it was almost midnight so we crashed. Mikel woke up for work late today which wasn't the greatest thing but he went to work and didn't get into trouble that we know of. :) Cocoa hated yesterday because she is was in the cage most of the day we were only home for 2hrs of the day. So now she is acting all crazy and running around in circle and Midnight is attacking her as well. I did finish my science experiment today and did all the homework associated with it and turned it in. :) I feel very tired right now so I am thinking about taking a nap... But, I need to clean the apartment which I really haven't done all week. :/ (So its pretty bad.) IDK what will happen. Mikel and I may go to wet and wild tomorrow. Its free for military and only $20 for dependents tomorrow only, so we are really considering it. :)
Anyway, thats all for now!

Randomness About Tomorrow..

I should be sleeping, but for some reason im not.. I have to be up in a few hours for heart link; Something the Air Force has for new  military spouses... I don't really know what to expect, other than that I will be there all day from 8am-2pm... So that will take up a lot of my day and homework time... Oh well, hopefully ill learn something and maybe ill make a new friend or something... Like I said I don't know what to expect... At least they are going to feed me so I won't starve lol!
I'll be twenty two in a week aka sep 7th... I got my first birthday present today which was a monkey t-shirt from my grandparents. :) I really like it and I think my grandma made it. I'm going to ask her tomorrow when I call and thank her for it. I will try to remember to put a picture on here of it tomorrow.
Sometime tomorrow I get to do a science experiment for my teaching science class. I am kind of excited about that. :) I would have done it today but I don't have corn oil or corn syrup nor rubbing alcohol; so, I have to go shopping for those things in order to do it.. I have to write about it for my class and thats due on friday. The shopping will happen after heart link...
After writing about all these things that will hopefully happen tomorrow I am reminded of a verse:
Matthew 6:34 ESV
"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Anyway, I am going to read my bible until I fall asleep. Night!

School and More

So today, I am thinking about school starting. On Monday I begin my 5 classes; EEX4772 personal/soc/skills, EEX4833 field experience, RED3310 lit instr intermed, SCE4310 teaching sci/elem sc and TSL4081 tchg eng to esol stu. It is going to be a crazy semester. I have to be in the classroom for 100hrs this semester over the course of 10 weeks. So that is going to be interesting. My classes are going to keep me very busy this semester. I am going to experience something new, being a wife as well as going to school. This whole summer we have had with each other. I have had nothing to do but work out, which I work around his work schedule. However, when I begin field experience and have to be in the classrooms, that will not be able to be worked around his schedule, It will just have to happen when it happens… lol!

I am excited yet scared about beginning this semester. I don’t know what to expect which scares me. But God is in control of everything! He will take care of me!!!

I went to the doctor today due to my constant headaches. He believes they are due to allergies. He told me to take an allergy medication every night before bed (this is because I usually wake up with the headache) and he also gave me a pain killer. It’s interesting going to doctor dressed in ABUs (AKA camouflage). To me it’s kind of weird… but I guess I’ll get used to it being an air force wife. Lol! But still, I’m used to doctors wearing either scrubs or a doctor’s coat or even dress pants and a collared shirt. Oh well!!!!

Well, there’s the update on what’s going on in my life. I’m going to go to sleep now. Its midnight here.
Good night world!!

Married

Well, its been a while since I have been on here. I now live in Arizona and am married to my wonderful husband Mikel. Arizona is totally different from FL. It is super hot here and when the wind blows it makes you feel hotter than you did just with the sun shining down on you.. :/

My life in Arizona is different from what it was in FL. Number one, I am married and now have a husband to take care of as well as a kitten and a puppy. I also work out a lot... I am trying to loose weight before going back to FL in January. I miss everyone so much! I think I am beginning to make some friends. I really like our church even though it is different from the one I have been going to in FL. I start school again Aug 22, I only have 3 more semesters left (2 if you dont count the one i start in Aug lol). :) I cannot wait to be done with school and to become a teacher.

My days consist of waking up with Mikel eating breakfast or lunch with him (depending on his schedule) and then sending him to work. I then take out the puppy on a walk, clean the house, watch some TV, play on the computer and depending on the day work out in the morning or evening. Oh I forgot, I feed the fish, kitten and puppy... On the weekends when Mikel is home my life is a little more exciting because I usually get to get out of the house a little more and get to see people lol! This past Sat aka yesterday, we had a married couple over to play board games and eat dinner. That was a lot of fun. :D

I still keep on looking at wedding stuff... I keep on having to tell myself that the wedding is over and that I don't need to worry about getting things for the wedding. lol! Mikel laughs at me because of this. He is the best husband ever!

Anyway, that's all i have to say for now...
